The project faced multiple challenges that affected efficiency and scalability. First, designing a production-ready SaaS dashboard from scratch requires significant time investment in UX research, UI components, layout systems, and theme architecture. Building a consistent light and dark theme with structured color variables, typography scales, and accessible contrast adds another layer of complexity. Second, most existing admin templates lack a true design system. They provide static screens instead of reusable components, global style control, and scalable foundations. This results in inconsistent UI, repetitive design work, and high long-term maintenance cost. The challenge was to create a fully componentized, variable-based Figma dashboard design system that supports seamless light and dark theme switching, responsive layout grids, and real-world SaaS workflows, while drastically reducing design time and improving consistency.
